To guarantee our good quality we carry out a great deal of internal research in our laboratory on a regular basis. In addition several official bodies carry out independent research into the characteristics and effects of Perlite substrate.

Internal

Pull Lab
The formula of the quality guarantees consistently complies with critical requirements because of internal control and monitoring of the incoming raw materials. We test the raw materials in our own laboratory on the basis of various chemical and physical characteristics.

Indication of internal laboratory research:

Gradation analysis of the raw material ore (grade distribution)
Density of the raw material ore
PF graphs (water/air ratio in the substrate)
Grow tests
Routine pH and EC measurements
Archiving contra monsters for RHP quality marks

External

ECAS
ECAS is an independent research body that carries out checks commissioned by the RHP Foundation. All our horticulture products are RHP/ECAS certified.

Practical research Plant & Environment
Recent research by Practical Research Plant & Environment (PPO) carried out on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture showed that Perlite greatly decreases the effect of Pythium and Mycospharella in the cultivation of cucumbers. Because the air/water ratio in the Perlite substrate is regulated in a better way, the roots of the plants remain healthier. You can find the complete publication under the button News.
