Idikell

Idikell was developed specifically to reduce vibrations and the sound level that radiates from these vibrations. It has its origins in the automobile industry. This product is used worldwide for the reduction of structural noise. Idikell is a thermoplast made of bitumen and fillers with a high specific mass. The product can be used as sound-absorbing material for aluminium and steel sheeting that is 3 mm thick or less. The specific properties are given below.

Applications of Idikell
This product is mostly applied for noise reduction of metal plates, in accordance with VDI 3727 up to 3 mm thickness. Applications are for example pipelines, ventilation flues, panels, sinks, doors, machine boxes, front plates and numerous of other possibilities.

Using Idikell
The sheets are easy to cut to size. It can be processed extremely well into cylindrical shapes. The foundation must be dry, fat-free and dust-free. It is important to avoid air bubbles. Preferably process at room temperature due to the stiffness of the material.

Product specifications of Idikell
The sheets are resistant to water, oil and diluted acids, but they are not resistant to immersion in oil and petrol. Idikell does not contain toxic or aggressive ingredients.
