Insulation of structural noise

Structural noise is caused by vibrations of engines, aggregates, generators and other industrial equipment. Decreasing vibrations in the structure is one way to reduce the radiated noise. If two structural elements are disconnected, then vibrations cannot be transferred from one to the other. This reduces the radiated noise level. It is important to absorb the vibration before the disconnection. This is possible with the products from chapter ‘Absorbing structural noise. Mechanical parts are disconnected using elastic elements (springs). The transfer of structural noise or vibrations is easy to reduce with our vibration dampers.

Two mechanical parts can be disconnected in an easy way. Below, two figures illustrate how this can be done. A double set-up can absorb more vibrations than a single one.

Product range for the insulation of structural noise:
Vibration dampers
Elastomer type 2.2
Elastomer type 3.0

Several materials can be used to disconnect as well.
The detailed product specifications per product are mentioned further on.
